15-fall-and-winter-vegan-desserts.PNG

I love the holiday season because I love baking up fall and winer holiday treats to share with friends and family. Cinnamon, pumpkin, cranberry, gingerbread, and apple are some of my favorite flavors. I especially love discovering new recipes for Thanksgiving and the winter holidays. That is why we have complied a list of some pretty delicious looking fall and winter baked treats that are must tries this season!

1. What’s better than warm, gooey, cinnamon rolls you may ask? What about one GIANT warm, gooey, cinnamon roll. It’s the kind of thing dreams are made of! Meggan Leal, from Cooking on Caffeine, is an allergy free baking master and genius. Her Giant Vegan Cinnamon Roll recipe is no exception. It is also pretty easy to make because you use canned pizza dough, which is awesome when you want to make something delicious but don’t want to fuss with actually making a dough. This recipe does not call for icing but Meggan’s Easy Vegan Butter cream would be amazing on top of this beautiful, giant vegan, cinnamon roll. I am pretty sure this thing would be a huge hit for a holiday party dessert, or even a family breakfast on Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, or Christmas morning! I have made this twice now and can assure you, it couldn’t be easier or more delicious!

2. Gretchen Price can seemingly bake up just about any vegan thing you can dream of. Buying her cookbook, Modern Vegan Baking, was a game changer for us, and ever since we bought it, it has been our go to for vegan baking recipes!  So, when I saw her Apple Cream Pie on her website ( I am truly an fan girl) I quickly added it to my list of Gretchen recipes we must make. How beautiful would this pie be on a Thanksgiving table? I love that this is not your run of the mill apple pie, but something new and different. It’s time to change up your apple pie game, and this is just the pie to do it!

3. First of all Sara Kidd is adorable! Seriously, I just want to go hang out in her kitchen and sip coffee and watch her bake (Sara, please don’t block me on Facebook, I promise I’m not a creeper). But most importantly, she is baking up some amazing vegan treats, has a brilliant website with tons of vegan baking resources, and her Facebook page is my go to with all vegan baking related questions. Oh, and let’s not forget her new vegan cookbook, Bake Vegan Stuff, Vegan Recipes for Kids! I also love that she also doesn’t forget to include those who are gluten sensitive with recipes like this Gluten Free Apple Glazed Cake. This recipe would be perfect for any holiday gathering because it meets so many dietary needs in one cake. Gluten free and vegan! Now almost everyone can have their holiday cake and eat it too!

4. I recently reached out in a vegan baking group for some tried and true fall baked treats, and this recipe from the Loving It Vegan came highly recommended. I mean, you had me at pumpkin. Seriously, I love pumpkin anything! I also never turn down a cupcake, so I can’t imagine how these Pumpkin Cupcakes with Pumpkin Spice Frosting would not be good? Just look at them!!! I also love cupcakes around the holidays because they are easy enough to transport, and being single serving makes them great for pot lucks, bake sales, and birthday parties. Although, deciding to share these may be hard.

5. If you ask me, there are not enough cranberry desserts out there. I love cranberries, and although it is very hard to find them fresh unless they are in season, you can always find a can of cranberry sauce in the grocery store. I also love orange flavored desserts so this was a no brainer to create these Cranberry and Orange Sweet rolls. Imagine a cinnamon roll and a cream cheese and fruit danish had a baby! These rolls are sweet, tart, and creamy! They are also currently my favorite breakfast and perfect for a holiday dessert!

6. So I know I have mentioned Meggan already, but I really am one of her super fans. This all began when my 13 year old daughter was determined to bake up vegan Italian macarons, trying many recipes with no success. That was until Meggan shared her recipe on Facebook and gave me some advice. I was honestly hesitant because we had throw out like a gazzilion pans of macarons already, but decided to give it one more try. Well y’all, like I have stated before, she is a genius because they came out PERFECT and we could not have been more excited! We think these macarons would make the most beautiful, thoughtful, and delicious holiday gifts, and I know I for one would be thrilled to be the one receiving them! So really, if you have thought about making vegan macarons, do not try any other recipe, because this one is hands down the winner!

That is when I found these 4 ingredient Peppermint Chocolate Crunch Bars, and that was that! I love that there are only 4 ingredients and seem really quick and easy. I also love the addition of rice cereal to give these bars extra crunch, also making these treats gluten free and pretty allergy friendly.
